For this self-directed project, I conceptualised a fictional food festival set in France and developed a visual identity through a series of posters and banners. The process began with experimental printmaking using raw vegetables, followed by screen printing, and was later developed further through digital collage layered over the printed textures. This developed into a stop-motion collage animation, translating still compositions into movement to create a more dynamic visual narrative. Inspired by Dogme 95, this project explores how strict rules can be used as a framework for typographic design. I developed a set of self-imposed constraints to guide the creation of letterforms, working mainly with paper-based negative space and collage techniques. This process made it challenging to build clear letterforms within limitations, encouraging problem-solving and more considered design decisions.
